Fort Collins seems to be a Forbes favorite.
The city captured the fifth spot in Forbes magazine’s list of Best Places for Business and Careers citing the number of high tech companies such as Hewlett Packard, Intel, AMD and Avago, the well-educated population and the large college-age population “that gives the city its college-town atmosphere.”
Fort Collins led five Colorado cities, including Denver, Colorado Springs, Greeley and Boulder, on the list of 200 places.
Forbes, which released its list today, also cited the large number of festivals in Old Town, including NewWestFest.
Raleigh, N.C., Des Moines, Iowa, Provo, Utah, and Lexington, Ky, were the top four cities, followed by Fort Collins.
Fort Collins has made numerous Forbes’ lists including the Best Place to Live in 2006 and it consistently ranks among the best places for businesses and careers.
