Easter Eggstravaganza: Come join the Easter Bunny for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza! There are open gym activities for you and your child to enjoy together along with a gigantic Easter Egg hunt all around the Community Recreation Center, so bring your Easter Basket to fill up! | |
Arbor Day 5K Race + Tree Sale: The Town of Windsor Tree Board hosts an annual Arbor Day 5K Run/Walk. The race will start and finish at Boardwalk Park and follow the Windsor Lake Trail. Proceeds will go towards planting trees throughout the community. Leashed dogs are welcome. Awards are given to the top runners/walkers. All ages welcome!
Tree Sale: Each year, the Town of Windsor teams up the the Windsor Tree Board to help keep Windsor “tree-rific”! There are a great selection of trees that grow well in the area provided at discount prices. Trees are available for Windsor residents to be planted within the town limits. |

Community Bicycle Rodeo: Sponsored by the Windsor Police Department and the Windsor Optimist Club. This event will include safety talks, helmet checks, bicycle registrations and a bike course! PLUS 50 FREE helmets for kids! Contact the Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400 with questions. | |

Summer Concert Series: Free Music in the Park All Summer Long! Thursdays June – August in Boardwalk Park by Windsor Lake. Everything from Funk & Rock to Jazz and Bluegrass. | |
Movies in the Park: Bring your lawn chair or blanket and hang out with friends while watching a movie on the BIG SCREEN! Movies are FREE, rated PG, located at Boardwalk Park and begin at 8:30pm unless otherwise noted. | |
July 4th Activities: The Town of Windsor knows how to celebrate the 4th of July! The day kicks off with the annual 4-legged Run/Walk – a race for you and your 4-legged friends. The Museum and Art & Heritage Center are open throughout the day with free exhibits and activities. As the days begins to cool off bring your picnic basket, lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy a free summer concert at Boardwalk Park. The day ends with a fantastic fireworks show over Windsor Lake! | |
Family Camp Out: The annual Family Camp Out includes a camp fire, a movie on the big screen, fishing, paddle boats, and more! A camp style dinner of hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided as well as a light breakfast. The Town of Windsor Museum is also open to visitors and a special treat is provided! Taste of Windsor Now!: Set in the beauty of a summer evening at Windsor Lake, Windsor Now and the Town of Windsor brings a variety of restaurants & festival vendors to celebrate the Windsor community. Includes Summer Concert event and fun for the whole family! | |
Water Carnival: Bring the whole family to the Annual Water Carnival for a day of fun and entertainment at the Chimney Park Pool! Severance Days: This annual event held at Lakeview Park in Severance is packed with fun and tradition! Beer Garden, Street Dance, Pancake Breakfast, 5K Run/Walk, Parade, Fire Truck Rides, Car Show, Garden Tractor Pull, Bingo, Kids Game, Vendor Booths, Food Booths, and much more. | |
Front Range Wine Festival: The Front Range Wine Festival is an annual event held in Main Park on the 3rd weekend in August. The event features wines and meads for you to enjoy. Plus food vendors, live music, crafts and artisans. | |
Windsor Harvest Festival: This 3-day Labor Day event is designed to honor Windsor’s past and celebrate the future. The event kicks off with an All Town BBQ, a free concert + street dance and fireworks show. On Sunday start the morning with a Hot Air Balloon Launch and pancake breakfast. During the day Main Park is filled with Arts & Crafts, Commercial & Food Booths, Kid’s Amusement Rides & Games and Carriage Rides. On Monday enjoy the annual Windsor Harvest Festival Parade. The parade lineup begins at 7 AM at Walnut Street and Chimney Park Drive and runs west on Walnut Street to 7th Street and then south on 7th Street to Eastman Park Drive. | |

Community Halloween Party: Always held on October 31st, this party, co-sponsored by the Windsor Police Department, combines candy and games for a fun time indoors, instead of (or in addition to!) trick-or-treating. | |
Turkey Ball Charity Mush Ball Tournament: Join Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture for annual “Turkey Ball” mush ball tournament! Families, church groups, youth teams and summer and fall leagues are encouraged to play. Special rules of Turkey Ball include running bases in opposite the normal direction. Awards for top three places and special awards for top team and individual fundraisers. Other special prizes and door prizes along with food will also be part of the fun. Turkey Ball is played rain, snow or shine. | |
Winter | |
Windsor Wonderland: The Great Western Railway brings Santa from the North Pole by train at 12pm at the intersection of 5th and Ash Street. After his arrival, he stops at the historic Art and Heritage Center at Boardwalk Park to take pictures, so make sure to bring your camera!
Other attractions at the event include wagon rides, a petting zoo, carolers, dance demonstrations, hot chocolate, cookies and much more! Downtown merchants also have their doors open and ready for holiday business. As the sun sets, the public is encouraged to return to Boardwalk Park to enjoy the tree lighting ceremony and caroling in front of the Windsor Depot. |
