Underwater Easter Egg Hunt: This unique event is a fun opportunity for youth to retrieve weighted eggs from the water at Centennial Pool. | |
Longmont Kids Only Triathlon: Swim, Bike & Run for FUN! The Kids Only Triathlon is for youth ages 7 – 17. Each child receives a finisher medal for crossing the finish line! The award ceremony is held approximately 30 minutes after the last athlete completes the course. Awards are given to the top 3 places in each age group for both males and females. | |
Longmont Triathlon and Try-a-Tri: In 1981, the first Longmont Triathlon started with 56 participants. It is now the longest running triathlon in Colorado and has become a historic event in Longmont. After the race is finished you can hang out in the vendor area filled with booths! | |

Summer Concert Series: The City of Longmont offers a variety of FREE concerts at different venues throughout the summer. Venues include Roosevelt Park (bring your own blanket or lawn chair), the Museum (picnics are welcome, seating is on the grass) and Downtown at 4th and Main St. | |
ArtWalk: Four fun-filled nights each year, the public can view works, see art being created, hear live music and engage in children’s activities – all within the Downtown District. | |
Longmont Jazz Festival: The festival presents the best of Denver metro and Northern Colorado jazz musicians, and it is a highlight of summer in Longmont. The Roosevelt Park Pavilion, 725 Eighth Avenue, in Longmont’s downtown, plays host to the event. The day kicks off with the St. Vrain Valley School District’s top high school jazz musicians performing under the direction of Bill Wilkinson as the Longmont Jazz All Stars. | |
Air Expo: The City of Longmont presents the Airport Expo in honor of the Kugel family, the founding family of the Vance Brand Municipal Airport. The Expo features aircraft from a five-state area, top level aerobatic performers, antique aircraft, vendors, food, and much, much more! Grab a front row seat and see everything from vintage biplanes to general aviation aircraft, jets, helicopters, cars, motorcycles, and more – all up close and personal, without the crowds you’ll find at the bigger airshows. | |
Longmont Kinetics Sculpture Race: The City of Longmont and Kineticists proudly sponsor this fun, family-friendly event that provides unique entertainment in the form of human-powered Kinetic Sculptures. | |
Rhythm on the River: Longmont Recreation Services, along with local community partners, presents the Annual Rhythm on the River, Longmont’s Signature Event. This free festival celebrates the environment, the community, art and music. Includes a World Market with eco-friendly products from across the globe, an entertainment line-up with over 12 performers, an outdoor adventure land, kid’s fish tank, hot air balloon launch, duck race and more! | |

Festival on Main: Festival on Main is Downtown Longmont’s signature summer event with more than 18,000 people in attendance. The downtown district is closed to vehicles during the event and the streets are filled with music, dance, activities, artists, attractions, food booths and more. Street performers appearing as live statues, jugglers, stilt walkers, a 14-foot bubble making machine, a climbing wall, bounce houses, fire and aerial dancers and many more hands-on activities for the kids. This annual event is a major showcase of Longmont’s unique and dynamic Downtown. | |
